How to write a good cover letter?

When you step in the world of job seekers or job hunting, you need to have a strong boat that will sail you towards your exact destination in no time. If this boat is not strong enough it will either break down or else will be late in taking you towards your destination. This boat is our Resume’s Cover letter that can either make us or break us.

In this era, nobody has enough time, and therefore mostly quick and minimum time-consuming tasks are considered. Although CV holds importance as it shows detailed version of your possessions and skills but a cover letter is like a topping on the dessert that gets more and instant attention as it summarized view of the individual.

Cover letter not only highlights the main characteristics of the holder’s personality but portrays a positive image of the individual, his\her purpose, and the skills one holds. Therefore a great amount of consideration is required while designing a cover letter. The cover letter body needs to be well organized and should be brief. There is no specification to write a cover letter or information to be used in it however it should be arranged properly and present the information accurately.

Since the cover letter will represent individual personality and the purpose behind applying the job to a specific organization, it needs to be consistent and should give the reader an idea of what you are capable to offer to the organization and how will you be the best choice as you will increase the value of the business.
Usually, the cover letter is composed of three parts Introductory paragraph, body, and closure.

INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH
In this first part of the cover letter, it is recommended not to flaunt about your personality or skills rather this part ought to gain reader attention and interest that will provoke him to read further. BODY
Divide the body of the cover letter into three parts. In the first part explain characteristics of the job in few words along with your skills that comprehend the idea of how suitable you are for the vacant position. Secondly, explain your experience in the same environment and your achievements. Thirdly in few words explain how and with what skills you can add value to the business and how you are the sloid applicant they are looking for. Utilize this area to outline your strong points and don’t forget to link all your skills and strong points to the nature of the job offered. Other points that could be mentioned are work experience, Skills, and why the applicant is interested to work with the organization.

CLOSURE
In the last part of the cover letter, it is recommended to give a few lines that give the reader idea about your attention to meeting or communication. It should depict that you intend to be in touch and are eagerly waiting for the opportunity to prove yourself. This may take the type of a solicitation for a meeting or potentially an announcement of your expectation to catch up sooner rather than later with a call. This is a smooth and decent way to close the cover letter.
